Who plans a winter wedding in Duluth? Only the best! When A and B reached out to me about photographing their wedding at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary, I was 100% in, right away. Last season I photographed Zach & Anne in Duluth in early December, and we had an unseasonably warm and snow-less day. A&B’s wedding day at the end of December was, well…just a little different than that! With a fresh coat of blizzard-grade snow, we braved freezing temps to get some amazing photos. Luckily, Our Lady of the Rosary is an especially stunning Catholic church with plenty of pretty light (and the Christmas decorations still up from a few days before made the sanctuary that much more magical!)
A and B planned a beautiful, intimate evening for their close family and friends. After mass, their guests headed to Black Woods Duluth and I trekked back to the cities feeling so thankful to have been a part of their day. A&B share such a sweet love and being given the opportunity to photograph it for them felt really special. I was delighted when B wanted to preserve these photos in a leather-bound album for years to come (get those photos off screens, folks, and onto walls and into books!) I could go on but I think the photos will speak more clearly than I can of the beauty of A&B’s wedding day.
Here are some of my favorite images to tell the story of the day!
