Nicole, Mitch and I spent a gorgeous Spring evening together wandering around Excelsior, MN. Excelsior is one of my favorite towns, (if you haven’t visited, you need to!) and between the delicious ice cream, gorgeous lake, green space, and lively downtown, it’s basically the perfect place to spend a warm evening.
Nicole and I met our freshman year of college, where we lived next door to one another and quickly bonded over bizarre facial expressions and general weirdness. She’s also probably one of my most photographed friends! (You can see her work it here, here, here, and here, for starters.) She’s one of my favorite people to photograph, always allowing me to put her in uncomfortable poses and running, jumping, and flailing her way through various creative photoshoots throughout our friendship! SO, it was such a treat to photograph her just being herself, with her best friend and partner in Moana-soundtrack-belting, Mitch (who also went to college with us!)
Mitch and Nicole are such an easygoing couple, and made sure we got more than one goofy photo of them doing what they do best – making faces. Ah, but those are saved for our email correspondences, not the public eye 😉 Here are some of my favorite photos from our time together!
