Mark & Melissa got married on a beautiful foggy winter day in Cokato, Minnesota, and I was so happy to be there to photograph it all! Luckily, it wasn’t as cold as we were expecting on the day of, so the bridal party and the bride and groom all braved outdoor portraits so that we could take advantage of the amazing fog!
It was so sweet for me to photograph Melissa with twin sister Megan, who helped her into her dress on the morning of. It felt like a very full circle moment, since I took very similar pictures on Megan’s wedding morning as Melissa helped her a few years ago!
Mark and Melissa were so sweet to each other and everyone around them all day long, and it was such a pleasure to be alongside them both for most of the day! After saying their vows in front of their guests, we all headed to Generations Ballroom in Kimball, MN for dinner and dancing! I must say, Mark and Melissa had one of the best first dances I’ve ever seen! Melissa had her dress altered specifically so that she could dance in it, and she was a vision as Mark twirled her around the dance floor. Their swing dancing skills are seriously on point, and their guests proved to be just as good! It was such a fun evening and I felt extra grateful as I left for the evening that this was my first wedding of the 2017 season.
Mark & Melissa, you guys are awesome. Thank you so much for trusting me with your day – wishing you all the best in your new life together!
