It was beautiful, humid summer day in Minneapolis, and Emma was slipping into her vintage wedding gown. Being chosen to photograph her wedding to sweet Peter was such an honor. Her and I studied art together at the University of Minnesota, Morris, so watching her become art before my eyes as she put the finishing touches on her wedding look was incredible. Her bridesmaids were absolutely gorgeous in a vibrant lavender shade, and Peter chose a super unique olive green suit for his look.
Como Zoo & Conservatory was an amazing backdrop for the first half of the day. We took photos in the Charlotte Partridge Ordway Japanese Gardens (linked at the bottom of the post!) and the couple had their ceremony at the Lily Pond. Even though Como was busy on such a beautiful day, the Lily Pond felt super private and intimate!
After their ceremony, we headed to Steady Pour for such a fun reception! What a cool space this is for a small reception – multiple rooms for folks to hang out, eat and drink. Highly recommend!
Peter & Emma, thanks a million for having me on such a special day!
Here’s the story of the day, as told by my camera…
