Sam & Lauren got married last week on a scorching Saturday. Hope Community Church in Minneapolis, MN and Edinburgh Golf Course were the perfect locations for such a joyful day!
The day started with Lauren and I sitting on the floor doing her makeup and chatting before the rest of the bridal party arrived. It was so nice to connect with her and hear how she was feeling before the big day! She told me that she was nervous to have all eyes on her and Sam all day – but as I watched her throughout the entire celebration, she showed nothing but grace and appreciation to all of her guests! The portraits of her that we took before she saw Sam are some of my favorite bridal portraits to date! I’m not sure Lauren realizes how incredibly stunning she is, inside and out.
Nobody knows that more than her new husband Sam, though. He loves her with a quiet intensity that is so refreshing and watching them together throughout the day made it so clear that they are made for each other! When I arrived the morning of the wedding, Sam was just leaving to go get Lauren a cold drink, and when he returned he made sure she had something to eat and was feeling ready to go. I could tell that this kind of attentiveness wasn’t just because it was their wedding day – it’s the norm!
Sam & Lauren, thanks from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to document such a precious day in your lives. I hope these images bring back feelings of love for each other and love from each of your guests whenever you look at them.
Here are a few of my favorites from the day.
