Spent some time with Britta a few days ago – it’s always amazing to work with her! Britta is the sweetest person you’ll ever meet, but when she gets in front of my camera there’s a certain sass there that so unique and fun to work with – she’s not afraid to follow my direction fearlessly and make a fool out of herself for the sake of the mood I’m trying to achieve. On this particular day, we ended up going for a grungy feel (thanks, incidentally, to my closet – Britta is wearing my beanie, leather jacket, scarf and boots. Oops!)
This is my fourth and last year living in the tiny college town of Morris (Britta’s, too) so I’ve been trying use, not disguise, the natural grunginess that a lot of the old houses here have because chances are, I’ll miss this kind of character in location when I move.
You can check out a super dramatic shoot we did together last year here (complete with my thought process behind the concept and editing style) and check out Britta’s blog here to learn more about her!
