This beautiful spring day feels like the perfect time to share Jonny and Mattie’s wedding! Man you guys, I could say so much about these two and this day, I don’t even know where to begin or if I’ll be able to stop! Let me take you through the day chronologically so I keep my wits about me and don’t gush too much 🙂

First, critical back-story: Jonny, Mattie and I all grew up attending the Buffalo Evangelical Free Church. Although they’re a few years younger than me, I definitely have memories of seeing them around church and watching them in theater productions together when they were kids. I have a super specific memory of them singing a duet during a Christmas program (spoiler alert, they played part of that duet during their ceremony!) Jonny and Mattie have known each other since hanging out in the church nursery as babies, and started dating in high school. So needless to say, when they reached out about me photographing their wedding, I was so so excited.

Ok, now on to the day! Mattie and her girls began the day with music and daaaaancing (I mean like, reception-level hype at 10am dancing!) After Mattie got dressed, I jumped onto a school bus (you heard me right) and headed over to a family-friends home where all of our photos for the day would happen! This part of the day is always a blur but we got some super fun photos and Jonny and Mattie’s first look was *perfection.*

Fast forward to the ceremony. This was just….really cool. Seeing Jonny and Mattie at the front of the church, on the same stage where they’d sang duets as kids…priceless. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room!

Next, off to the beautiful reception venue! The Crown Room in Rogers was such a perfect space for the rest of the celebration. I photographed all of the hard work put into reception details, snuck a few photos with the Mr. & Mrs. and was off-duty for the evening. I know that the night was a continuation of the day – a beautiful celebration of two committed people in love.

Jonny & Mattie, thank you so much for trusting me with your day. Every moment was an honor. <3
