It was a brisk Saturday in Battle Lake, MN and Bennett & Malia were preparing to tie the knot. Malia and her bridesmaids prepped upstairs at her grandparents home while Bennett and the guys hung out downstairs. Handwritten notes from important people in Malia’s lives had her sniffling that morning (well, that and a cold!) I’d been looking forward to shooting this wedding since they booked about a year ago, so it was such a pleasure for the day to have finally arrived!
Malia opted for an incredibly gorgeous Maggie Sottero gown, a blusher veil & mint shoes from ModCloth, and Bennett looked dapper in a navy suit. Their first look was so beautiful and totally set the tone for the rest of the day – one of positivity, love, and so much fun!
When it was almost time for the ceremony, everyone headed down the road to The Round Barn, where the festivities would take place. The barn is owned by the family and has been a staple sight in Battle Lake since it was built. How fitting to have it spruced up with twinkle lights galore and to host a reception there!
I could go on forever, but I think I’ll let the images tell the story. Thanks to the incredible vendors that helped make this day so wonderful – you can check them out at the bottom of the post!
